Sarasota neighborhoods east of the Tamiami Trail, better known as East of Trail, are gaining in popularity and for good reasons.  The two “rediscovered” areas of Arlington Park and Southgate offer great schools, easy access to major roads and Bradenton-Sarasota International Airport, all of which hold tremendous appeal to young families and young professionals.

Arlington Park and Southgate are mostly made up of single-family homes including classic Florida cottages and ranches, midcentury modern, craftsman, as well as new custom-built homes. Many of the homeowners are enhancing the neighborhood’s “retro” vibe, making the most of the architecture to create a suburban-chic feel while maintaining its family-friendly allure.

Additionally, these neighborhoods offer residents many amenities including the Southgate Community House, Village Green Golf Club and Arlington Park and Aquatics Center, walking paths, and dog-friendly parks. Another plus is they are minutes away from Downtown Sarasota, Southgate-Westfield Mall, shops and restaurants, and Siesta Key beaches.

With approximately 4,200+ hotel rooms and condos being constructed, it’s a great time to buy a home in sunny Sarasota! With the addition of these properties, we’ll definitely be seeing some positive growth in the Downtown area.
